LTG Announces New Executive Search Engagement

The Leadership Talent Group (LTG) has been retained by the University of Virginia Health Community Division (UVACH) to conduct a national executive search for the position of Chief Quality Officer.

The Chief Quality Officer (CQO) reports to the UVA Community Health Chief Medical Officer, and partners in close collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, Medical Informatics leader and other members of the executive leadership team. The incumbent oversees a team of infection control, regulatory, and quality Improvement professionals (three direct reports and staff), and dotted line collaboration with risk, safety, and patient relations. Further, the CQO serves as a key resource to the Board Quality Committee and the Quality Patient Safety Committee, providing reports, metrics, expert perspective and action plans regarding the overall direction, leadership and operational management of UVACH’s quality systems.

The CQO initiates and oversees the development of a comprehensive quality strategy plan, inclusive of measurable quality goals, readiness initiatives and related performance improvement programs, in an effort to set the tone and provide leadership on current safety and quality initiatives, as well as promote the latest trends and best practices being adopted nationally. It is a priority of this position to ensure the coordination of all hospital efforts to monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory, state, federal, and Joint Commission requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a BSN and Masters prepared, and have earned professional certifications, preferably Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Candidates currently employed in multi-hospital environments and academic environments are preferred.
