LTG Announces Executive Search Completion
The Leadership Talent Group (LTG) is pleased to announce that Gena Lawday will join University of Virginia Community Health (UVACH) as the Chief Quality Officer, effective August 5th, 2024.
Gena was previously the Vice President of Quality, Risk Management and Patient Safety for The Medical Center of Aurora in Colorado, where she was employed since 2018.
The leadership position of Chief Quality Officer (CQO) reports to the UVA Community Health Chief Medical Officer, and in close collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, Medical Informatics leader and other members of the executive leadership team. The incumbent oversees a team of infection control, regulatory, and quality Improvement professionals (three direct reports and staff), and dotted line collaboration with risk, safety, and patient relations. Further, the CQO serves as a key resource to the Board Quality Committee and the Quality Patient Safety Committee, providing reports, metrics, expert perspective and action plans regarding the overall direction, leadership and operational management of UVACH’s quality systems. The CQO initiates and oversees the development of a comprehensive quality strategy plan, inclusive of measurable quality goals, readiness initiatives and related performance improvement programs.
Gena completed her MS, Healthcare Administration at Colorado State University and her undergraduate at Regis University. Gena is also a BSN.
