LTG Announces Executive Placement - UVACH Chief Clinical Officer

The Leadership Talent Group (LTG) is pleased to announce that Dr. Ken Bernard will join University of Virginia Community Health (UVACH) as the Chief Clinical Officer.

In this role, Dr. Bernard will serve as a facility liaison at Prince William Medical Center (PWMC) and Haymarket Medical Center (HAMC) and promoter of the interrelationships between the medical staff, administration, and hospital departments in pursuit of the highest appropriate levels of medical care. He will be responsible for the evaluation and impartial application of medical staff organizational functions as set forth in the medical staff bylaws and policies developed by the medical board and approved by the Board of Trustees. In collaboration with UVA Health, market and facility leadership, the CCO has accountability for physician performance, as well as the development and implementation of identified growth and strategy initiatives. In addition, Dr. Bernard will ensure alignment with all strategic clinical initiatives for independent physician groups.

Dr. Bernard was previously employed by US Acute Care Solutions in Virginia since 2021. Dr. Bernard completed his MD at Harvard Medical School, where he also completed his residency and MBA. Dr. Bernard completed his undergraduate degree at Yale University.
