LTG Announces New Executive Search Engagement - UH Director - Nursing, Women's & Perinatal Hospital Services
The Leadership Talent Group (LTG) has been retained by the University Hospitals (UH), to conduct a national executive search for the position of Director - Nursing, Women's & Perinatal Hospital Services.
The Director reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of Women’s and Children’s Services for UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital (RBC) and UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital (MacDonald); the CNO also serves as the UH System Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO). In addition, the Director collaborates with the following senior physician and nurse stakeholders: Chief Nursing Officer at CMC and UH Academic Market; Medical Director of Labor & Delivery at MacDonald; Chief of System Quality for Obstetrics at UH and Vice Chair, Quality & Patient Safety at MacDonald’s; Vice Chair, OB/Gyn Community Partnerships at UH; Director, Nursing - Perioperative Services.
University Hospitals’ commitment to nursing excellence is ongoing. Two of UH’s larger hospitals (Cleveland Medical Center and UH Portage Medical Center) hold Magnet designations from the American Nursing Credentialing Center. For UH’s nurses, this recognition means ongoing education and development through every stage of the career, leading to greater autonomy at the bedside. In September 2025, UH Cleveland Medical Center will be undergoing its 5th Magnet designation journey.
Founded in 1887, RBC is a nationally renowned university affiliated pediatric medical center dedicated to excellence in family-centered care and the home of the Angie Fowler Adolescent and Young Cancer Institute. Attentive to community, national, and international healthcare issues, offering a full range of children's services in a compassionate and interdisciplinary care setting. RBC has been recognized as a Best Children’s Hospital for 2024-25 by the U.S. News & World Report, ranking in all 11 children’s specialties, including the highest programs for Endocrinology & Diabetes, Neonatology, Orthopedics and Pulmonology in all of Northern Ohio. RBC is ranked #1 in Northeast Ohio for newborn care. RBC includes 244 total beds, 1,300+ pediatric specialists, two neonatal ICUs with a Level 4 designation for specialized care, and Cleveland’s only Level I pediatric trauma center.
Opened in 1891 as the Maternity Hospital of Cleveland, MacDonald is synonymous with excellence in clinical research, medicine and patient care and is the only Level 4 Maternity Hospital in Northeast Ohio. UH MacDonald’s has five sites of service: UH CMC, UH TriPoint Medical Center, UH Ahuja Medical Center, UH St. John’s Medical Center, and, most recently, UH Geauga Medical Center. UH CMC provides Level 4 labor and delivery, high risk postpartum, and high risk antepartum specialized care, and the other community facilities are designated at Level 1 and 2. MacDonald’s includes 129 adult beds and 117 nursery bassinets, serving as Ohio’s only hospital dedicated solely to women’s health and ranked as one of America’s Best Hospitals for gynecology by U.S. News & World Report.
